Diagnosis

Swine flu is presumptively diagnosed clinically by their symptoms listed above and also by:

  • Nasopharyngeal swab test to see if the patient is infected with influenza A or B virus.
  • Diagnosed by identifying the particular antigens associated with the virus type.
