Conduct ongoing surveillance and close monitoring at live poultry retail outlets and monitoring of poultry farms, pet bird traders, imported birds, recreational parks and wild birds. Step up farm and wholesale market bio-security measures, including the installation of bird-nets to avoid contact of poultry with wild/migratory birds. Control import of live birds and poultry products. Implement vaccination in chickens. Introduce rest days to wholesale and retail markets.
